A lot of people kept recommending stainless steel cookware. After reading up on it and stuff, I decided to take a shoot. Its been a big a real pain.

Things easy burn on the surface… seriously compromising the non-stickiness. I ruined a turner b/c I had kept the food moving around to stop sticking.

Also, a bigger pain to clean. From what I read, you don’t want use soapy water, since that will ruin the seasoning nor heavy duty pads. Any suggestions of cleaning?

There a way to keeps stuff from burning on instead of building up a good seasoning.

The only thing I can cook on it is eggs, omelets, and stuff, which turn out very nice. It got great heat retention and distribution compared to anything I have used. I guess I will learn to cook with it, but I need to know how to clean them better.
It is stainless I know how to read a box. The methods I mention were applicable to aluminum and stainless cookware.

What Is The Best Cookware? Anodized Aluminum or Stainless Steel?

I hear anodized aluminum cookware is non-stick, but you can’t use metal utensils with them. And they are prone to flaking if the non-stick coat gets scratch. However, people say they love them.

On the other hand, there is the stainless steel. They are not non-stick, and get stains on them if they are exposed to high heat. But you can use any utensil with them and you don’t have to worry about any non-stick coating flakes getting in your food. So, which set of cookware the anodized or the stainless steal is the best buy?

So I have this All-Clad stainless steel pot and it got all these scratches on it from a whisk. I had tested it to see if it would scratch at first, but the marks only decided to show up way after. >_<
Anyhow I need a way to remove them or make them look less bad cause if my dad finds out it will probably be a big deal (we just bought them) haha

I’m switching over to stainless steel pots and pans. I’m used to the non-stick teflon coated so I need a little advice. Will I have to use oil each time I cook in the new pans? How do I clean them and keep them maintained?

My wife and I are coming up on our 10th anniversary and we are using the same old 10.00 walmart cookware I we got for our wedding. It doesn’t cook evenly at all. Its very thin and everything sticks to it. She is happy with her KitchenAid pots and pans and so am I so I want to buy her a nice Skillet or two. Personally Id like a good non-stick pan but everyone keeps telling me that All Clad Stainless Steel is the way to go. Why? Ive only ever heard stories about food sticking to it. That is the reason why we want new pans in the first place! I want something easier to cook with. Not something that is going to be a pain to clean up and have my eggs refuse to come clean.

I just bought new stainless steel cookware and have burnt onions on the bottom of one of the pans - I’ve tried boiling water and baking soda, I’ve scrubbed (2 days now) with Bar Keepers Friend - neither have worked. I still have little black outlines of onion all over the pan! Does anyone have any other suggestions.
